The Phoenix saddle represents the state of the art in saddle design and fabrication. The saddle engineering is unique in that there is a continuous fore and aft flow of carbon and aramid fiber from the upper saddle surface to the rails. The design is such that it acts like suspension leaf springs for a very comfortable ride.
The Phoenix saddle has abbreviated lower skirts to prevent abrasion to the riding shorts. This saddle production is so complex each one is individually made for and sold directly to the final intended client to keep the price down.
By using carbon and aramid fiber cloth pre-impregnated with resin, such prepregs ensure a proper ratio of resin to cloth which assures strength, consistent quality and an unbelievably low weight.
The final product is autoclaved which is an aerospace derived process wherein the saddle is cured in pressurized, temperature controlled specialized ovens.
