The AX.CFRP leaf spring replaces the stock stainless steel spring on Orion / AX3000 brakes. Thanks to their enormous stiffness they not only improve the reset force of the brake and therewith its hysteresis curve, they as well save about 50% of the weight.
A square taper steel insert accomodates the clamping forces of the brakes.
